You have heard it several times for sure somebody somewhere tells you to live in the moment, emphasizes its importance and why one needs to practice being in the "present".
There is always that something coming up we need to get ready for, that something we keep holding on to but do we get to notice what slips through as we try holding on to things that have passed, things we have no control over , as we anticipate the future though so many of us even find it harder to take the first steps...? One may really not realize that this tendency can leave you perpetually worn out and feeling you have lost a touch with yourself. Our thoughts may be overwhelming but it is really not that difficult to let go of all the old things and just focus to what is going on now, I mean if you are really willing to live in the moment you have to find a way after all they say, WHERE THERE IS A WILL,THERE IS A WAY
Hey, Don't get me wrong I am not saying live for the moment you surely need to plan for the future just like everybody else I mean we all do, these are two different things off course live for the moment is to live hand to mouth or living in a fool's paradise as some people call it.
WHY LIVE IN THE MOMENT?
To live in the moment really means to be aware, conscious, not anxious or worried about the past or the future. It means to be present with all of your senses either it being at a dinner table with your family and friends or handling a given task or taking a walk just be present and focus to all activities going on around.
It is very important as
1.It helps with reducing stress and we all know stress is not good for your health
2.It is a mindful act which means it helps your mind to be active and participate in ongoing activities
3.You will enjoy moments for what they are and help increase your creativity skills
4. Helps you carry out your tasks in productive manner
8 TIPS TO BE IN THE MOMENT
1.Feel the need for participation, realize you are already there
2.Be a better listener
3.Act slowly and deliberately
4.Avoid unnecessary distractions
5.Redirect your mind when it wandes
6.Learn how to meditate
7.Practice gratitude
8.Change routine
With all that said, why don't you try living in the moment and see how things change for the better!
Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present. ~ Albert Camus
